Catalyst tools are made of flexible silicone that allows artists to express themselves in a whole new way. The tool comes in two unique designs: the Catalyst Wedges and the Catalyst Blades.
The Catalyst Blades are mounted on a brush handle, and are thus a mix of tradition and innovation. Catalyst Blades can be used for both acrylic and oil paints.
They are resistant to heat, and are used by artists to work in plaster, clay, and even frosting on cakes. They are made from FDA approved silicone, and can therefore also be used for cooking. Catalyst is easy to clean, and the silicone is resistant to solvents. In most cases, it can be cleaned with soap and water. Dried paint can be rubbed off the silicone surface quite easily. Catalyst Blades can even be removed from their brush handles, when cleaning, and easily reapplied after they are dry.
