Thinner for oil paint and can be used to clean brushes, spatulas etc. No. 089 Thins oil paint. Thins the bottom coats (used only in the first coats). Does not have the pungent smell of mineral turpentine and evaporates more slowly. Less dissolving power than veg. turpentine and less suitable for making your own paints. Not suitable for removing varnish from pictures.
