Horadam Naturals has a matte finish and offers an authentic character. The colors are mostly semi-transparent with good lightfastness (15 colors with 3-5 stars lightfastness). They can be mixed and combined with watercolor and gouache and used directly from the tube or diluted with water.
The paints are bound with gum arabic of the finest and most consistent quality available. Due to the natural source of the binder, gum arabic tends to differ slightly from year to year.
Schmincke continuously tests their ingredients and the best of the lot is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. Another quality of Schmincke's Horadam Naturals is their re-solubility - paint that has dried on your palette can easily be re-moistened and painted with again.
